Creative Producer & Head of Communications (Outsourced)
Launched a web series spotlighting cutting-edge tech—and the rebels of invention bringing it to life.
While serving as an embedded Head of Communications for a deep tech venture capital firm, I spearheaded a YouTube series that ran across two “seasons” — driving YouTube subscribers and nearly 100,000 views. My PR efforts around the series garnered coverage in outlets including Fortune Term Sheet, CheddarTV, and Morning Brew’s Tech Brew.
This was one of my favorite creative projects to lead. I collaborated on the concept, name, format, and editorial voice of the series, and handled end-to-end production:
Sourced featured startups and coordinated with the host and portfolio teams
Managed production, scripting, and on-site direction across multiple shoots
Developed the launch plan in collaboration with the videographer and designer, delivering promo clips, social assets, and tailored distribution across platforms.
Outside of this project, as the firm's outsourced Head of Communications, I also led:
Media relations campaigns for the firm and its portfolio companies
Event programming for investment partners, connecting press and portfolio founders across sectors like AI, healthtech, and emerging tech
Executive thought leadership and storytelling
Social media and awards strategy for amplifying the portfolio and partners
Publicity & Social Media Strategy: Launching a bilingual healthcare app for undocumented and underserved communities
I supported the launch of SaludPorTodos, a mobile app offering an accessible, bilingual healthcare directory for undocumented and underserved communities in the New York Tri-State Area.
My work included:
Advising on website copy to ensure clarity and cultural resonance
Developing the social media strategy across TikTok and Instagram Reels—including scripting the founder’s video pitch and writing all captions
Leading media outreach and pitching to local and national press
Results: Earned coverage in USA Today, 914INC by Westchester Magazine, and Inside Armonk, helping increase visibility and trust among key communities.
Bilingual Launch & Thought Leadership Strategy: Positioning LatAm’s #1 podcast network for U.S. media
Sonoro—the leading podcast network in Latin America—was launching original fiction content in English and Spanglish for the first time in the U.S., including high-profile series in partnership with Telemundo, iHeartMedia, and celebrity talent like Rachel Zegler, Gina Torres, and Stephanie Beatriz.
I worked directly with the founders to:
Pitch entertainment trades, consumer media, U.S. Hispanic outlets, and business press
Translate and refine key marketing materials for bilingual and bicultural audiences
Script talking points and pitches for celebrity talent
Develop and execute an awards strategy for the company, its content, and its executives
Results:
Secured coverage in The Los Angeles Times, Deadline, Inc. (Best in Business), Hola!, HipLatina, Popsugar, and the Brown & Black podcast
Helped position Sonoro as a cross-cultural audio pioneer within both mainstream and U.S. Latino media
Elevated individual shows (Princess of South Beach, Tejana) and the company’s leadership through industry storytelling and visibility
Press Tour & Launch Strategy: Introducing headset-free holograms for the real world
Looking Glass is a venture-backed startup creating lifelike 3D displays—no headsets required. Their tech blends depth, texture, and lighting to deliver holograms that feel almost too real to believe. To launch their newest product, they needed a press strategy that would capture the wonder without veering into sci-fi hype.
Beyond messaging development and developing announcement materials, I organized an in-person press tour in New York with top-tier tech and culture outlets.
Results:
Coverage landed in Mashable, Mic, TechCrunch, Business Insider, Quartz, and CNET, with headlines and stories that captured the product’s magic—grounded in real-world innovation.
